The new entrance fee to Komodo National Park in West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, has increased. It is effective October 30, 2024.

The Governing Body of the Labuan Bajo Flores Authority (BPOLBF) assesses that the latest tariff adjustment to enter tourist destinations located in the Komodo National Park has a positive impact on tourism and conservation in the area.

“The new Non-Tax State Revenue not only increases state revenue but also strengthens environmental conservation and empowerment of local communities,” said BPOLBF President Director Frans Teguh.

Based on Announcement Letter Number PG.08/T.8/TU/KSA.5.1/B/10/2024, it is explained that the decision to adjust ticket prices is applied in order to fulfil the provisions of Law Number 9 of 2018 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) and Government Regulation Number 36 of 2024 concerning Types and Tariffs on Types of PNBP applicable to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

“With the adjustment of types and rates, we are trying to optimize PNBP for national development and improve services to the community,” said Komodo National Park Head Hendrikus Rani Siga, as reported by Bisnis.com.

The new regulations also include IDR 2 million per unit/day tariffs for drone flying activities, IDR 3 million for foreign nationals and IDR 1 million for Indonesian citizens for prewedding video and photo shooting, and tariff adjustments for diving and sport fishing activities.
