There is a particular kind of confidence required to revisit a menu people already love.
For Osteria GIA, a restaurant that has built its reputation on approachable Italian classics and a sense of effortless familiarity, change does not arrive through reinvention. Instead, it comes through refinement, small but meaningful evolutions that deepen flavours, sharpen techniques, and offer diners new reasons to return.
This season, Osteria GIA introduces a selection of new creations by Chef Tommaso Gonfiantini, designed to refresh and reimagine the dishes people have come to love.
From signatures like Spaghetti Aglio Olio, Spaghettoni al Burro e Pepe, and the iconic Classic Tiramisu, Osteria GIA has long been a go-to destination for satisfying, familiar flavors.
This latest chapter brings new energy to the table, introducing future favorites alongside the classics, in a way that feels both exciting and comfortingly familiar.
Available exclusively at Plaza Indonesia, Pacific Place, and Pondok Indah Mall, these new creations highlight Chef Tommaso’s signature style, elevated simplicity with a focus on indulgent flavors and refined execution.
A Celebration of Italian Indulgence
Antipasti, and The Sense of Welcoming
The new offerings begin where many memorable Italian meals do: with antipasti designed to awaken the palate without overwhelming it.

Among the standouts is the Stracciatella e Figs, a dish that balances richness and brightness with remarkable ease. Creamy stracciatella meets caramelised figs, whose concentrated sweetness is sharpened by aged balsamic vinegar.
Toasted focaccia adds texture, creating a starter that feels both elegant and comforting, a study in contrasts that works beautifully.
Pasta That Leans Into Decadence
If Osteria GIA has always understood the emotional power of pasta, Chef Tommaso’s newest creations embrace that philosophy wholeheartedly.

The Mafaldine al Tartufo arrives as a deeply satisfying composition of truffle, slow-cooked beef ragout, and silky Parmigiano fondue. Each strand of pasta captures layers of earthy aroma and savoury depth, resulting in a dish that feels unapologetically luxurious without becoming excessive.

Then there is the Foie Gras Cacio e Pepe, perhaps the most daring addition to the menu. Inspired by Rome’s iconic pasta, this interpretation introduces the richness of foie gras to the familiar pepper-and-cheese foundation. The result is a plate that manages to feel both familiar and entirely new—creamy, intensely savoury, and memorable long after the final bite.
A Lighter Take on Pizza
For those unfamiliar with the format, Osteria GIA’s pizzetta offers a more delicate alternative to traditional pizza. Thinner and lighter in texture, the crust strikes a balance between crispness and chew, allowing toppings to take centre stage.

The new Pizzetta Parisien leans confidently into indulgence. Layered with premium butter notes and an assortment of soft cheeses, it delivers a richness that feels comforting rather than heavy. It is the kind of dish designed for sharing, though many diners may find themselves reluctant to do so.
Desserts Worth Saving Room For
Dessert at Osteria GIA has always been more than an afterthought, and the newest additions continue that tradition.

The Salted Caramel Vanilla Panna Cotta offers a polished interpretation of an Italian classic. Silky and delicate in texture, it is finished with a deep caramel profile and just enough salt to enhance every spoonful.
Perhaps the most unexpected creation, however, is the Focaccia French Toast & Strawberry Compote. Transforming house-made focaccia into dessert might seem unconventional, yet the result feels entirely natural. Golden and lightly crisp on the outside while remaining soft within, the toast is complemented by a bright strawberry compote that provides freshness and balance.
Together, the desserts demonstrate Chef Tommaso’s ability to respect tradition while allowing room for playfulness and imagination.
A New Negroni Collection Joins the Table
Beyond the food, Osteria GIA is also expanding its beverage programme with a quartet of Negroni Signatures, each inspired by the timeless Italian aperitivo tradition.

Guests can choose from:
- The O.G. — a classic expression that remains balanced and timeless
- Aged — deeper, spiced, and layered with complexity
- Cacao — bittersweet and rich, with subtle smoky undertones
- Caffè — aromatic and bold, finished with delicate coffee notes
Each variation offers a distinct personality while remaining unmistakably Negroni. Whether paired with pasta, enjoyed before dinner, or sipped slowly at the end of the evening, the collection adds another dimension to the Osteria GIA experience.
More Than New Dishes
What makes this menu refresh particularly compelling is that it does not attempt to redefine Osteria GIA. Instead, it reinforces the qualities that have made the restaurant a favourite among Jakarta diners: generosity, consistency, and a deep appreciation for Italian hospitality.
These new creations feel less like departures from the menu’s identity and more like natural extensions of it. They bring new textures, ingredients, and flavours to the table while preserving the familiar comfort that guests return for time and again.
Whether stopping in for a quick weekday lunch, gathering around a table of pasta with friends, or settling into an evening accompanied by a perfectly crafted Negroni, Osteria GIA continues to offer something increasingly rare in modern dining: food that feels both elevated and genuinely welcoming.
Because the philosophy at Osteria GIA remains unchanged. Good ingredients, thoughtful cooking, and memorable moments will always be in season.
