Apple has introduced its latest iPhone line-up globally, including the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the new iPhone Duo. However, Indonesia was not included in the first wave of sales.
For consumers in Indonesia who are already considering an upgrade, there is some progress. The iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have reportedly secured Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certification of 40 per cent, an important requirement for Apple to sell cellular devices in Indonesia.
The certification has raised expectations that the new iPhone models could arrive in Indonesia soon. Based on the release pattern of the previous generation, the iPhone 18 line-up is expected to enter the Indonesian market in October 2026, although Apple has yet to announce an official Indonesian launch date.
When Will the iPhone 18 Be Available in Indonesia?
The iPhone 18 series was launched globally in September 2026, but Indonesian consumers are expected to wait longer before they can purchase the devices through authorised channels.
Last year’s iPhone 17 series was officially sold in Indonesia around a month after its global launch. Based on that pattern, the iPhone 18 series could follow a similar timeline and become available in Indonesia in October.
The 40 per cent TKDN certification for the iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max is another indication that preparations for the Indonesian market are under way. However, the certification itself does not confirm the exact date when the phones will go on sale.
For consumers, this means it may be worth waiting for the official Indonesian launch before purchasing an imported unit. An official local launch would also provide access to authorised sales channels and locally applicable after-sales services.
How to Buy the iPhone 18 in Indonesia
Once the iPhone 18 is officially available, consumers are expected to be able to purchase it through major authorised retailers, including iBox, Digimap, Hello Store and Blibli.
For those who prefer shopping in person, iBox and Digimap allow customers to visit their physical stores, check the available models and discuss payment options with sales staff.
Both retailers also provide instalment options, including selected 0 per cent credit card instalments, while other financing options are available depending on the provider and applicable terms.
Hello Store also allows customers to visit its physical outlets to view and try Apple devices before purchasing. Its online store provides another option for consumers who prefer to complete the transaction remotely.
Blibli offers both online and in-store purchasing. Customers can check product availability through the Blibli website or app before visiting a store. Its Click & Collect service also allows shoppers to place an order online and collect it from a participating store.
For online purchases, customers can visit the respective retailers’ official websites, select their preferred iPhone 18 model and storage option, then complete the checkout process using the available payment and delivery methods.
Consumers planning to purchase the new iPhone can also prepare their preferred payment method in advance. Depending on the retailer, options may include bank transfers, virtual accounts, credit cards and instalment services such as Home Credit or Kredivo.
With the iPhone 18 series yet to receive an official Indonesian sales date, consumers should check the retailers’ official channels for confirmed availability, pricing and pre-order information before making a purchase.
