Foreign Tourists Surprised at the Great Capacity of Indonesian Trucks in a Viral Video

A funny video is currently viral on social media. It shows foreign tourists who are surprised to see trucks in Indonesia that can still run despite the unusual amount of capacity.

The @sollenbollen account uploaded the  viral video on TikTok. In the video, a Caucasian man can be seen recording himself looking amazed when he sees a moving truck carrying a large load of goods in sacks. “Woah, look at this!” he said with wide eyes and a smile on his face, quoted by Social Expat on Wednesday 16th of August 2023.

Thecreator then asked a man beside him what was in the truck while guessing what the overcapacity truck was carrying.

“Paddy? Fruit? Aaah,” said the Tiktoker; he then smiled after getting an answer from the man beside him. This viral video has been liked by 2.2 million TikTok users and reshared 43.4 thousand times.

Various funny comments from netizens also adorned it. “You haven’t seen a truck carrying a boat,” wrote one netizen in the comments section of the  tourist.

Tonnes of netizen comments filled the Tiktoker’s comment section while telling each of their surprising experiences with Indonesian trucks, like “It’s such a shame that you haven’t seen a truck that can carry dozens of motorbikes in one go.”

Previously there were also several viral videos of foreign tourists accidentally drinking kobokan water while at a local shop because they thought it was a complimentary drink provided by the shop. Funny viral videos like this are also a breath of fresh air amid the many cases of foreign tourists violating regulations and eventually being deported from Indonesia.
