The Westin Jakarta – A Heavenly 360-Degree View of The City

Share:

The Westin Jakarta – A Heavenly 360-Degree View of The City – Just like the title, complete with a 360-Degree View of The City, The Westin Jakarta is located on the top 20 floors of a 304 m Gama Tower. Strategically located in the Setiabudi district, this hotel only needs a 10-minute drive to the Central Business District of Jakarta. This hotel also features an indoor pool, a fitness centre, and spa facilities.

Let’s see how magnificient the 360 degree view of the city from the Westin Jakarta!

First impressions

Phenomenal location, it’s not only in the heart of Jakarta but also placed at the highest point in Indonesia. The panoramic views were gorgeous, absolutely stunning! I am actually acrophobic but the view from this hotel is definitely hard to resist.

The Room

Stylish, light, and airy, that were the first things that crossed my mind when I entered the room. I stayed my weekend in the Club King which has access to Westin Club. The interior makes me feel homey, the bedding was perfect –may be too soft for some people but I love it, and the view from my room was outstanding. I also enjoyed the food and drinks served at the club lounge.

Facilities

The hotel facility is great though I think the pool is a little bit smaller than expected but no worry, it’s very comfortable plus it’s a warm water pool. You can book it first before swimming for a quieter ambiance. The gym could be bigger but still, it’s cozy and relaxing to do some light exercise.

Food

The food was great. Got a lot of variety to choose from at the Seasonal Tastes on the 51st floor for  breakfast. While lunch, dinner, and refreshments can be enjoyed at Daily Treats or the Lobby Lounge. Some food choice for in-room dinner is also well made. It’s tasty and worth the price. If you have a concern about the food, you can choose a selection of healthy dishes at the on-site dining outlets.

As a big fan of sushi, I definitely not miss the chance to try some menu from Henshin, a combination of Japanese-Peruvian fine dining with a fantastic view of the city from the top three floors.

The staff

The staffs were all professional and polite, incredibly helpful and accommodating. They just really made sure that we were looked after. I can say that the service from the receptionist staff was *chef kiss* excellent.

Would I go back?

I love how delightful the room’s service is and definitely go back if I have a spare to splurge. It is not cheap, but that is to be expected for a well-spent staycation.
