The Papilion is set to begin its 20th anniversary celebrations with a three-day Weekend Market this May. Running from 8 to 10 May 2026, the event will bring together food, lifestyle, and artisanal brands across the venue, turning the space into a relaxed weekend destination for families, friends, and shoppers.
Held from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm, the market invites visitors to explore different corners of The Papilion while enjoying food, retail finds, and community activities in one place.
Rather than focusing on a single concept, the event combines shopping, dining, and leisure in a casual setting designed for a slow weekend outing.
On the ground floor, visitors can browse Papilion’s Market Place, which will feature a curated mix of local brands and independent businesses. The selection ranges from ceramics and homeware to flowers, organic produce, books, and nostalgic Indonesian snacks.
Several brands will take part in the market, including ALCeramics, Fredhelligh, Rosalie Cheese, Row Your Books, Seroja Bake, Bumi&Boo, and Budi Daya. Floral studio Studio Kure Kare Ka will also transform part of the venue with fresh blooms throughout the weekend.
Food will play a major part in the experience. Guests can stop by for freshly made poffertjes, baked goods, and familiar comfort dishes such as nasi goreng, smash burgers, and pizzas. Beverage selections will include East Java Tea, curated pours from Dimatique Wines, and Kura Kura Beer.
The market will also feature signature offerings from Huize van Wely, the Dutch patisserie brand that has been around for more than a century.
Shopping, Workshops, and a Mother’s Day Brunch
The second floor offers a quieter retail experience through LIVING at The Papilion, which carries homeware and lifestyle labels including Antoinette Poisson and Astier de Villatte. Nearby, visitors can also explore Papilion’s Archive, featuring selected past-season collections, alongside Petit Papilion for a more intimate shopping experience.
The programme continues on Sunday, 10 May, with a Mother’s Day activity titled Scent and Scribble, created in collaboration with ro:en Indonesia. The workshop invites mothers and children to spend time together while exploring essential oils and creating personalised aroma blends.
Designed as both a creative session and a keepsake activity, the workshop adds a slower and more personal touch to the weekend programme.
Families looking for a relaxed Sunday plan can also stay for the Mother’s Day Brunch at The Penthouse by The Papilion, which will close the weekend with a laid-back dining experience.
As The Papilion enters its 20th year, the market also marks the beginning of a larger anniversary celebration that will continue throughout 2026.
For those looking for a weekend plan in Jakarta, the event offers an easy mix of food, shopping, and quality time in one space.
