Share:

Starting April 13, 2025, TransNusa will introduce a new international route connecting Denpasar, Bali, to Guangzhou, China. Tickets for this route are available for purchase beginning February 24, 2025, with prices starting at IDR 2.38 million, including 15 kilograms of baggage.

TransNusa Vice Chairman Leo Budiman emphasized the strategic importance of this new route, stating, “This route is also designed to make it easier for international travellers, especially from Perth, Australia, who want to continue their journey to Guangzhou, and vice versa.”

The airline also hopes the new service will boost tourism in both Bali and Guangzhou while offering an efficient transit option for passengers heading to Perth, Australia.

Flight Schedule and Passenger Convenience

The Denpasar-Guangzhou flights are scheduled for optimal passenger comfort:

  • Denpasar to Guangzhou: Departing from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport at 20:15 local time and arriving at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 01:00 local time.
  • Guangzhou to Denpasar: Departing from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 02:05 local time and landing in Bali at 07:40 local time.

“This schedule was chosen to ensure comfort and convenience for passengers, both business and leisure travellers,” added Budiman.

To celebrate the launch, TransNusa is offering special fares starting from IDR 2,388,000. The airline expects this attractive offer to encourage more travellers from Bali and surrounding regions to explore Guangzhou, a bustling metropolis known for its culture, culinary scene, and modern attractions.

Additionally, the airline foresees an increase in foreign tourist arrivals to Bali, as Denpasar serves as a strategic transit hub for international travel. “In addition, this route is also expected to increase the number of foreign tourists visiting Bali, considering that Denpasar is a strategic transit point for international travel,” Budiman stated.

TransNusa’s Growing Presence in China

Established in 2005 as a domestic carrier, TransNusa temporarily ceased operations in 2020 due to the pandemic. However, following a management change, the airline was revived in 2022 and repositioned as a premium service carrier.

With the introduction of the Denpasar-Guangzhou route, TransNusa will now operate five routes to mainland China, complementing existing services from Jakarta to Guangzhou and Guiyang, as well as Manado to Fuzhou and Guangzhou. The airline currently operates 17 weekly return flights between Indonesia and China.

This expansion solidifies TransNusa’s vision of making Denpasar a central hub in Indonesia while providing more convenient, affordable, and comfortable travel options for both domestic and international travellers.
