King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan begins a two-day state visit to Indonesia today, Friday, 14 November 2025.

During the visit, he will meet President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.

The arrival of the Jordanian monarch was confirmed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, who stated that preparations had been completed for the official engagement.

“The plan is to receive the King of Jordan, who will come to Jakarta. It is planned for November 14,” said Foreign Minister Sugiono in a written statement issued on Friday.

The meeting follows their earlier engagement in Amman on 14 April 2025, when President Prabowo visited King Abdullah II at the Al Husseiniya Palace.

During that meeting, the Jordanian King conveyed his appreciation for Prabowo’s visit and referred to the longstanding relationship between the two leaders, which he noted had begun during their younger years as soldiers.

To support the security arrangements for the royal motorcade, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate has implemented temporary traffic control on several main roads.

The measures will be applied today from 4 pm and on Saturday from 10.30 am.

“There will be escorts and temporary traffic control on several main roads in Jakarta as a form of respect,” the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Management Agency (TMC) announced via its official Instagram account on Friday.

The police emphasised that the closures would be brief and adjusted according to the movement of the motorcade.

“The closure is situational and will only last a short time,” the Traffic Management Team (TMC) stated.

Eight main roads in the capital will be affected:

  1. Jalan Gatot Subroto
  2. Jalan Sudirman
  3. Jalan MH Thamrin
  4. Jalan Merdeka Barat
  5. Jalan HR Rasuna Said
  6. Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto
  7. Jalan Raya Pondok Gede
  8. Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo

The police advised road users to plan journeys accordingly and follow officers’ instructions during the closures.
