Share:

With the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia, especially Bali, on the rise, Garuda Indonesia is stepping up to the plate.

The airline has significantly increased the frequency of their flights from overseas to Bali, a move that underscores their commitment to meeting the growing demand.

Currently, the total number of foreign tourists visiting is dominated by tourists from Australia and South Korea who want to enjoy their holiday in one of Bali’s favorite destinations.

Based on these visits, Garuda Indonesia has increased the frequency of international flights to and from Denpasar and Bali from various international cities in Australia and South Korea, such as Sydney, Melbourne, and Seoul.

The addition of international flight frequencies to daily flights will occur in stages starting in early July 2024 on several round-trip routes.

Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfan Setiaputra said that the effort to increase the frequency of international flights to and from Denpasar is in line with the demand that continues to grow positively. The total number of foreign tourist visits is dominated by tourists from Australia and South Korea on vacation in Bali.

1. Denpasar-Sydney effective from July 1, 2024.
2. Denpasar – Melbourne, effective from July 4, 2024
3. Denpasar – Seoul will be effective from July 6, 2024, and will use the Airbus 330-300 widebody fleet.

“It is expected that the increase in the frequency of international direct flights every day will be an added value for Garuda Indonesia service users, especially in organizing travel plans more flexibly,” said Irfan Setiaputra.

According to Irfan, Garuda Indonesia’s strategy also aligns with the government’s target of welcoming 7 million foreign tourists to Bali by 2024.
