PT Pertamina (Persero) has increased the price of Pertamax fuel to IDR 16,250 per litre, ending more than three months of price stability for the non-subsidised fuel product.
The latest adjustment took effect on 10 June 2026, according to information published on Pertamina’s official website. The increase represents a rise of IDR 3,950 per litre from the previous price of IDR 12,300 per litre.
The adjustment marks the first change to Pertamax prices since 1 March 2026, when the fuel was increased from IDR 11,800 to IDR 12,300 per litre. Since then, Pertamina has maintained the price throughout March, April, May, and the beginning of June despite fluctuations in global energy markets.
Several Non-Subsidised Fuels Also Experience Price Increases
In addition to Pertamax, Pertamina has revised the prices of several other non-subsidised fuel products.
Pertamax Green now costs IDR 17,000 per litre, up from IDR 12,900 per litre. Other fuel products, including Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex, have also recorded increases in recent months amid rising crude oil prices and pressure on the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar.
As of 10 June 2026, fuel prices in Jakarta are as follows:
- Pertalite: IDR 10,000 per litre
- Pertamax: IDR 16,250 per litre
- Pertamax Green: IDR 17,000 per litre
- Pertamax Turbo: IDR 20,750 per litre
- Biosolar: IDR 6,800 per litre
- Dexlite: IDR 23,000 per litre
- Pertamina Dex: IDR 24,800 per litre
The latest revisions reflect adjustments to market conditions affecting the cost of fuel procurement and distribution.
Pertamina Cites Government Formula and Global Oil Prices
Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun said the price changes were implemented following an evaluation based on the fuel pricing mechanism established by the government.
“The selling prices were decided in coordination with the government as the regulator, and are part of efforts to maintain the sustainability of energy supply and optimal distribution of quality fuel for the public,” Roberth said in a written statement on Tuesday, 10 June.
According to Pertamina, the adjustments to Pertamax and Pertamax Green prices took into account developments in global crude oil prices as well as prevailing economic market conditions.
The company stated that regular evaluations are conducted to ensure that fuel pricing remains aligned with market dynamics while supporting the continuity of national energy supplies.
The increase comes as global oil markets continue to experience volatility, prompting adjustments across several fuel categories. While subsidised fuels such as Pertalite and Biosolar remain unchanged, the latest revision affects a range of non-subsidised products that are more closely linked to international market movements.
