Top 10 Busiest International Flight Routes in 2024: Jakarta-Singapore Ranks 8th

Share:

Aviation intelligence company OAG has just released its list of the busiest international flight routes through 2024. The route between Hong Kong and Taipei is back in first place after holding this position in 2019.

According to OAG’s website, the Hong Kong-Taipei route last took first place in 2019 and is back at number one five years later, although seat capacity is still 15% below pre-pandemic levels. This year, the Hof Kong-Taipei route flew 6.78 million seats.

Seven of the world’s 10 busiest international flight routes are in Asia-Pacific. Seat capacity figures on many of these routes have also not recovered to what they were in 2019.

The Jakarta-Singapore flight route made it to eighth place on this list with a seat capacity of 4.07 million. This proves how important this route is as a key link between Indonesia and Singapore, both for business and leisure travel.

Most of the world’s busiest international flight routes are in Asia and the Middle East.

The list of the world’s busiest flight routes outside Asia and the Middle East contains only the flight route from New York, United States to London, United Kingdom.
