Viral: Foreign Tourists in Bali Pose in Bikinis and “Bathe” in Gasoline

Share:

The internet is abuzz with a video of two foreign women in bikinis pouring themselves with liquid suspected to be Pertamini gasoline in Canggu, Bali. They were dancing in front of a stall.

The behavior of these foreign nationals is very disturbing. The video shows one tourist woman lying on the roof of a retail gasoline pump machine, Pertamini.

Another posed while showering her body with the “gasoline” liquid from the refueling equipment.

It is suspected that the two Caucasians deliberately wanted to create content. They made strange photo and video content at the gas station, on their motorbikes, in their pickup trucks, and on the streets.

The police traced the shop and asked the two shopkeepers, Syifaudin (24) alias Uut and Ainul Yaqin (21), for information.

The video maker asked permission to take a photo. Due to the language barrier, they communicated using a translator application.

The Caucasian woman admitted that she would only take pictures next to the retail refueling equipment. After the shopkeeper gave permission, the man invited his two friends to pose.

“It turned out that they used a flush, climbed up, and damaged the Pertamini’s roof. Finally, the shopkeeper prohibited them from further taking photos, but the tourist insisted on taking (another) photo,” North Kuta Police Chief AKP Muhammad Rizky Fernandez told DetikBali.

After one of the women got off the Pertamini hood, the shopkeeper asked them to leave. The shopkeeper also asked them to compensate IDR 300,000 because the Pertamini’s roof was damaged. They then went on a motorcycle.

Possible deportation for the tourists

Politician Ni Luh Djelantik also posted a complaint about the behavior of these two foreigners. Although the nationality of the tourists posing with the Pertamini is unknown, Ni Luh linked it to the current New Moscow Bali issue.

Mas @sandiuno understands why people are fed up with the term New Moscow, which appears on Google Maps????,” she wrote on her social media account.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, also replied to Ni Luh Djelantik by emphasizing deportation and forwarding it to the relevant parties.

“Ready Mbok. Matur Suksma. We take firm action against those who violate the rules and norms and do not respect local culture and wisdom. It might be deportation. I will coordinate with related parties. Together, we protect Bali,” Sandiaga replied.
