Bali is the Second Most Popular Wedding Destination in the World

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said Bali is becoming increasingly attractive to tourists from India, including those who want to hold weddings. This aligns with Bali’s title as the second most popular wedding destination in the world by 2024, according to a recent survey by Bounce.

Earning a high wedding score of 8.19/10, Bali ranks among the best wedding destinations in the world, alongside Tuscany and Lake Como in Italy.

According to Minister Sandiaga Uno, Bali is a favorite place for tourists from India to get married because of the affordable wedding costs.

“Indian couples who got married in Bali said that the attractiveness of Bali is not only in its scenery and culture. But the most important thing is that getting married in Bali is cheaper for them,” Sandiaga said.

He explained that Indian couples who want to get married in Indonesia are among the 2023 Indian tourists who are ranked second for the most tourists in Bali after Australian tourists.

Bali is the Second Most Popular Wedding Destination for expats and locals

With over 1.3 million social media posts using the hashtag #baliwedding, Bali has become a star on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Even over the past year, there were 96,000 Google searches with the phrase ‘Bali Wedding.’

This also makes Bali the most popular wedding destination on social media worldwide. These posts often feature couples posing in front of sacred temples or against the backdrop of stunning beach and mountain views.

Indeed, the beauty of the island of Bali attracts many couples to vacation and also get married here.
