The Indonesian government has confirmed the official list of public holidays and collective leave days for 2026, to be used as a guideline by ministries, regional administrations, businesses and the public in planning activities throughout the year.

The decision was formalised in a joint ministerial decree (SKB Tiga Menteri) signed by Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin, Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Rini, and Manpower Minister Yassierli.

The decree, numbered 1497/2025, 2/2025, and 5/2025, was finalised at a ministerial-level meeting held at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture in Jakarta on Friday (Sept. 19).

A total of 17 national public holidays have been set for 2026 in line with existing regulations.

Following cross-ministerial discussions, eight collective leave days were also approved, according to Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno.

It was said that with the fixed schedule, public services, business activities and individual planning are expected to be managed more efficiently.
