Deputy Chairman III of the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force Syafrizal urged the regional heads to continue to carry out vaccination programs, particularly for the third dose or booster vaccine. This is an integral part of the effort to keep the pandemic under control.

Not only that, but Syafrizal also asked for the regional government and security to sternly supervise the implementation of health protocols, such as the use of masks and using the PeduliLindungi application to enter public areas.

“This is done so that the public remains vigilant and disciplined to the health protocols, considering that there will be a lot of activities celebrating Indonesia’s Independence Day or the 17s which has not been held for the past two years,” Said Syafrizal.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPK) has observed an increase of 929,66 percent of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia from January to June 2022. BPK has recorded 743,21 thousand visits with the majority of the tourists originating from Australia with Singapore coming in second place and Malaysia in third.
