“[Rizieq Shihab] will be released on parole on July 20, 2022,” said Rika in a written statement.

Rika explained that Rizieq has completed the administrative and substantive requirements to obtain the right of remission and integration in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of RI Number 7 in the Year 2022.

Additionally, the lawyer of the former FPI High Priest, Muhammad Rizieq Shihab Aziz Yanuar, said that he would be released from the Criminal Investigation Unit at the National Police Headquarters today. However, Aziz did not specify the time at which Rizieq would be released.

“We ask for everyone’s prayer, Insyaallah,” said Aziz on Tuesday (19/7) night.
