PPKM in Jabodetabek Dropped from Level 2 to Level 1 – The implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in the DKI Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) districts has been updated by the government dropped from level 2 to level 1.

According to the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri)

Number 35 of 2022 regarding the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Corona Virus Disease Conditions in the Java-Bali Region, Safrizal, Deputy Chairman III of the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force, has provided confirmation of this change.

The Minister of Home Affairs Number 33 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities Level 2 and Level 1 Corona Virus Disease 2019 in the Java and Bali Regions was issued on Tuesday, 5 May and it established the PPKM  status at level 2.

In just one day, the government revised the status of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the Jabodetabek areas from level 2 to level 1 on Wednesday (6/7). This new rule takes effect from July 6 to August 1, 2022.

The regulation is stated in the Minister of Home Affairs Number 35 of 2022 concerning the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Corona Virus Disease Conditions in the Java-Bali region. With the issuance of this new rule, it means that PPKM level 2 status in Jabodetabek is no longer valid.

The Covid-19 Handling Task Force opened its voice regarding the revision of the status of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the agglomeration areas of Jabodetabek.

He saw that there was a flattening trend indicating the agglomeration area had passed its peak in the past week. Safrizal said that the revision of the Jabodetabek PPKM level to level 1 was carried out to maintain the health aspect by taking into account the trend of continuing economic recovery.
