Video Show: Foreigner Debunks Tourist Exaggerations About Bali

Share:

Before you pack your bags and head to Bali, you might have heard some tall tales about the island. One of the most common is the myth that as soon as you step off the plane, you’ll be bombarded by pushy taxi drivers.

But one viral TikTok video uploaded by @theforeignsun debunks that notion.

In the video, she describes how she often hears stories of aggressive taxi drivers at Bali airport. The drivers are defined as grabbing tourists and yelling at them, even forcing them into the taxi.

“No, they’re not,” she says in the video.

According to her experience, she did not hear any screaming or taxi drivers yelling in front of her face. Instead, she found a line of taxi drivers offering taxis to tourists in a normal tone.

It’s important to remember that Bali is a diverse destination, and each tourist’s experience is unique, adding to the intrigue and excitement of a potential visit.

Some tourist exaggeration that also often occur are the opinion that Bali is a cheap destination, some even consider vacationing in Bali the cheapest in Southeast Asia. So that when they come, they are quite surprised to find some destinations, even the price of food and drinks is not cheap and expensive.

Indeed, Bali is a thriving tourist hub, attracting both foreign and domestic visitors. While some establishments may be on the pricier side, the popularity of the island ensures a vibrant and diverse tourist community.

However, there are also cheap places to eat, usually only known by locals and domestic tourists.

What about you? Is there any tourist exaggeration that turns out to be untrue when you come to Bali?
