Jakarta’s art enthusiasts are in for a treat, given that from the 7th of July to the 9th of October 2023. The city will host the magnificent immersive exhibition Van Gogh Alive, featuring works by the famous painter, Vincent van Gogh. 

The exhibition will take place in West Jakarta’s Mall Taman Anggrek, which makes this exhibition very accessible for anyone to come.

The art display of the Van Gogh Alive exhibition will be very unique. The Van Gogh paintings will come to life through a multi-sensory experience that uses cutting-edge technology. Over 3,000 pictures of Van Gogh’s artworks are projected around the show, creating a 360-degree immersive space.

The pictures, music, and scents that go with the paintings will will evoke Van Gogh’s paintings’ mood and setting.

Visitors will having a having a tour of Van Gogh’s life and creative career, from his early works in the Netherlands to his famous masterpieces in France. Visitors can learn about his themes, influences, talents, personal challenges, and feelings during his lifetime.

Over 8.5 million people attended Van Gogh Alive in 80 places worldwide, making it one of the most popular immersive art exhibitions ever. The show has received accolades for its unique and captivating method of art presentation as well as for its inspiring and educational value. 

Tickets for the exhibition in Jakarta will start from IDR 182,400 (USD 12.28) and are available online through the exhibition’s official website here.
