The Indonesian national team will face the Japanese national team in the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifying match for the Asian zone.

This match will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Central Jakarta, on Friday, November 15, 2024.

South Korean media, Yonhap, said 1,500 South Koreans in Indonesia will watch this match. A South Korean businessman bought tickets for the match.

The Korean expatriate manager of a local shoe manufacturing and exporting group in Indonesia, Song Chang-geun, admitted that he had formed a joint support team.

Song explained that this would further increase the closeness between Indonesians and Koreans. He also said that the head of the Korean expatriate community positively welcomed this.

Song added his hope that this joint support can positively impact the relationship between the two countries, as Korea and Indonesia both have historical experiences of being under Japanese colonial rule.

Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-yong confirmed that thousands of South Koreans will support the Indonesian national team against Japan.

“But there are South Koreans who live here, coming to support the Indonesian national team,” Shin Tae-yong explained, as quoted from the Bola website.

Shin Tae-yong revealed that the thousand South Korean expatriates also hope that the Indonesian national team can qualify for the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The latest information reveals that tickets for the Indonesia vs Japan match have been sold out.

Indonesia vs Japan match tickets are equipped with free MRT facilities

PSSI said that all ticket purchases for the Indonesian national team match with Garuda ID include a return ticket (PP) Mass Rapid Transit or MRT.

For the MRT ride route to GBK, PSSI itself confirmed that Indonesian national team ticket holders via Garuda ID can ride from any Jakarta MRT Station.

This benefit means that supporters of the Indonesian national team no longer need to bring private vehicles to GBK, which can cause severe congestion before and after the match.

Later, Indonesian national team ticket holders via Garuda ID can access the MRT for free at the Senayan Mastercard MRT Station or Istora Mandiri MRT Station.

If they arrive at one of the two stations, ticket holders will be picked up by Shuttle to go to GBK to watch the match.

So, how can you ride the MRT for free using the Indonesian national team tickets purchased via Garuda ID? Here’s how.

Indonesian national team ticket buyers only need to scan the ticket barcode. This Barcode Scan is done by tapping at the entrance or exit on the day of the match.

PSSI has collaborated with PT MRT Jakarta to provide parking pockets for Indonesian national team supporters who will access the MRT.

Later, supporters can park at many points near the MRT station.
