Iftar with Garmin: A 24/7 Wellness Companion This Ramadan

Share:

Garmin Indonesia marked this year’s Ramadan with a warm and meaningful iftar gathering alongside its media partners in Jakarta.

More than simply breaking the fast together, the evening became a reflection of Garmin’s broader commitment to supporting holistic wellness in 2026.

Set in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, the iftar event was designed not only as a media engagement session but also as a moment of connection, aligning perfectly with the spirit of Ramadan. As guests gathered to share the meal at sunset, the conversation centred on balance, mindfulness, and sustainable wellbeing.

During the event, Garmin reaffirmed its ambition to become a 24/7 wellness companion, extending far beyond fitness tracking.

According to Chandrawidhi Desideriani, Marketing Communications Senior Manager, Garmin Indonesia, Wellness today stands on four pillars: nutrition, movement, mental health, and social connection.

These four pillars resonate deeply during Ramadan. Fasting encourages mindful nutrition, daily prayers support mental clarity, adjusted routines promote balanced movement, and iftar gatherings strengthen social bonds.

Garmin positions its ecosystem of smartwatches and health-monitoring devices as tools that help users maintain this balance throughout the holy month and beyond.

Features such as body battery monitoring, sleep tracking, stress insights, and activity tracking are designed to support users in making informed decisions about their physical and mental well-being, especially during a month when daily routines shift significantly.

Beyond Smartwatches: Introducing Garmin Marine

In addition to reinforcing its wellness positioning, Garmin also introduced a lesser-known yet highly advanced segment of its innovation: Garmin Marine.

While the public may primarily recognise Garmin as a global leader in handheld GPS devices and smartwatches, the company revealed that its expertise now extends deeply into the marine ecosystem.

Garmin Marine

At a recent product launch session in Jakarta, Garmin Marine demonstrated its cutting-edge sonar technology, particularly its LiveScope system, which is capable of “seeing” beneath the water’s surface with remarkable clarity.

Unlike conventional underwater cameras, this sonar technology can detect objects, structures, and movement in real time, even in conditions invisible to the human eye.

With wide coverage and high precision, this technology serves not only as a fishing tool but also as a crucial safety and navigation instrument. LiveScope’s forward-looking sonar enables captains to anticipate underwater obstacles, shallow areas, or structural hazards before reaching them.
