Bobobox Pod Hotel: A Compact Hotel for Modern Travellers

Share:

Bobobox Pod Hotel is an unusual and innovative accommodation option that provides a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors to Jakarta.

This pod hotel in the heart of the city offers guests a comfortable and convenient stay by combining modern technology and minimalist design. Self-check-in kiosks, smart TVs, and high-speed Wi-Fi are among the amenities provided by the hotel to meet the needs of modern travellers.

In this review, we will look at what Bobobox Pod Hotel has to offer and discuss whether it is a good choice for your next trip to Jakarta. In addition, in Jakarta, there are several Bobobox pod hotel branches; this time, we had the opportunity to stay at Bobobox ITC Kuningan as our specimen.

This branch of Bobobox is located inside the ITC Kuningan building. There are two ways to get there: through ITC Kuningan and Mall Ambassador, because the hotel is specifically located at the bridge that connects both malls.

When entering the hotel, everything, from the shoe rack to the entrance to the room, uses a barcode scanning system. We reserved a single sky room, but to get to the bed, we must climb a ladder that looks like a shelf. Although the bed was upstairs, it was hard and uncomfortable for us.

Nonetheless, the room has some interesting features. One of them is a tool for changing the colour of the room’s lights. We can change the colour of the lights to suit our mood. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay in the room for long because we arrived at 7 p.m. and had to leave at 8 a.m. The check-in time itself starts at 2 p.m., and you have to check out no later than 12 p.m.

We are not permitted to eat in our room because there is a dining area available in the hotel lobby. The toilet, however, is not in the room. Each visitor must share a shower and toilet area located outside the room. Visitors can use separate showers and toilets.

Our experience at Bobobox was very memorable during our one-night stay. We believe this is the first hotel that will be difficult for us to forget. Furthermore, this is the first time we’ve stayed in a room that isn’t made of wall material. As a result, because the price is reasonable, this hotel is ideal for people who prefer to travel alone.

Even though the room has some flaws, we can still enjoy our stay at Bobobox and take advantage of the amenities. In the future, we’d like to try a better room.

Location: Jl. Prof. DR. Satrio No.4, Kuningan, Karet Kuningan, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, 12940

Price per night: IDR 186,000

Anyway, we’re also documented a glimpse of our stay at Bobobox ITC Kuningan. Check out the video below:
