Denpasar, Indonesia – April 16, 2024 – The Indonesian Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) has issued a warning for residents of Denpasar and other major cities across the country to brace for heavy rainfall in the coming days. This weather phenomenon is attributed to the presence of two tropical cyclones currently forming in the region.

According to BMKG officials, the two cyclones are expected to bring significant amounts of precipitation, potentially leading to flash floods and landslides in certain areas. Denpasar, the capital of Bali, is specifically mentioned as being at high risk due to its geographical location.

“We urge residents, especially those living in flood-prone areas, to stay alert and prepared for potential emergencies,” advised a BMKG spokesperson. “Residents should closely monitor weather updates and follow any instructions issued by local authorities.”
