In light of Bali’s celebration of the world’s largest commercial plane’s successful landing at Bali Airport, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International, travellers may anticipate an even more streamlined arrival procedures.

In a moment that will go down in history on the 1st of June 2023, Bali welcomed the Emirates A380 to the airport.

After months of preparation, the aircraft arrived at Bali International Airport. This was the first time an A380 superjumbo aircraft had touched down anywhere in Indonesia.

Prior to Bali’s peak tourist season, tickets for a new airline route between Dubai and Denpasar were in high demand.

As peak season draws near, there is a rising demand for travel to Bali, and Bali International Airport is working around the clock to ensure passengers have a good landing experience.

In preparation for the busy season, extra immigration officers have been stationed at the arrival counters, according to Bali Airport officials. This occurs because of the new Emirates A380 service, which changes Ngurah Rai, Bali International Airport.

Sugito, the head of the Class I Immigration Office TPI in Ngurah Rai, spoke with the media and described the changes that had been made.

“This Airbus A380 arrives every day at 4 o’clock, when there are other planes carrying tourists arriving at the same time as well. As a result, we are expanding our field force.” Sugito explained

Sugito says, “The international arrival port is equipped with dozens of inspection counters in total. At the desk, 48 of our officers are waiting to inspect the visitors’ immigration papers.”

“All inspection officers have been prepared and are ready to examine passengers in accordance with the applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP),” Sugito concluded.

Immigration officers will be working hard to ensure that the arrival procedures at I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Bali International Airport will be running as quick as the peak season draws near.

It is now possible to apply for an e-visa on arrival at least 48 hours before travelling to Indonesia for tourists who desire to arrange their visa in advance.

Travellers have been advised by immigration officials that there is only one official website for submitting an e-VOA application, and that is https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/.
