A Tribute to Liam Payne: One Direction Fans Gather at Langsat Barito Park, Jakarta

The death of former One Direction member Liam Payne on October 16 has left a deep sorrow for his fans around the world.

Liam, who died tragically after falling from the third floor of his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, left unforgettable memories for his fans.

One Direction fans—Directioners—who are in Jakarta held a meeting to pay their last respects to their idol. The meeting was held at Taman Langsat Barito, South Jakarta, on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

Previously, an announcement about this meeting had been uploaded by the @onedirectionjakarta account since yesterday.

“In loving memory of Liam James Payne. We are holding a gathering for Directioners to honour his life and the happiness he brought to us as members of One Direction,” the account wrote.

The event starts at 16.00 and ends at 18.00 WIB, where fans are encouraged to wear black.

Judging from @onedirectionjakarta‘s Instagram Story, the final tribute event for Liam Payne went smoothly. Some photos show fans hugging each other and strengthening each other over the idol’s departure.

Overseas fans’ tribute to Liam Payne – One Direction Member

Apparently, his fans around the world, including in Argentina, also honoured Liam’s death.

Fans gathered at the location where Liam Payne died, the courtyard of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Thursday, October 17, 2024. They cried while lighting candles and singing One Direction songs.

Fans were shocked to learn Liam Payne had died after falling from the hotel’s third-floor balcony on Wednesday, October 15, 2024. They stood in disbelief, some comforting each other and others staring up at the hotel building.

One Direction songs including ‘History’, ‘Story of My Life’, and ‘Infinity’ were sung together by them as a tribute to the late Liam Payne.
