Viral Video Shows How Bali Airport Staff Handle Passenger Bags With Care

Share:

A baggage handler at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport has gone viral after a short TikTok video showed her carefully handling passenger luggage on the airport tarmac.

Instead of the usual complaints about damaged suitcases or lost bags, this time the internet was talking about kindness, patience, and professionalism.

In the clip, the baggage assistant was seen placing luggage carefully and checking each item attentively before moving it to the next stage. Many viewers praised her calm attitude and dedication while working under pressure at one of Indonesia’s busiest airports.

The viral moment also sparked curiosity about what baggage assistants actually do behind the scenes. While many passengers only see their bags disappear onto a conveyor belt, airport baggage teams handle a long list of responsibilities to make sure every suitcase arrives safely and on time.

The Role of a Baggage Assistant in Indonesia

A baggage assistant plays an important role in airport operations. Their work starts long before a plane takes off and continues even after it lands.

In the departure area, baggage assistants sort luggage based on flight numbers and destinations. They also check baggage tags, arrange suitcases securely on airport trolleys, and move them to the aircraft loading area.

Accuracy matters because even one misplaced bag can create delays for passengers and airlines.

Once on the aircraft, the job becomes more physical. Baggage assistants load suitcases into the cargo compartment and organise them carefully to keep the balance and safety of the aircraft stable during the flight.

After landing, they unload the baggage and make sure the total number of bags matches the flight manifest.

Their work continues in the arrival area as well. Bags are transferred from operational vehicles onto conveyor belts so passengers can collect them smoothly. If luggage gets stuck, damaged, or misplaced, baggage assistants are often the first people asked to solve the issue quickly.
