Visitors arriving at Legian Beach recently found more than just sea views and sunset spots. A parking attendant caught their attention with a simple but memorable act. As he handed out parking tickets, he sang and danced, turning a routine moment into something lighter.
In a video that has circulated online, the man greets drivers with a melody, singing, “Happy… Thank you very much,” while moving along to his own rhythm. The response was immediate. Drivers waiting in line smiled, some even joining in with small dance moves.
Online reactions followed quickly. Many viewers said the gesture made them smile.
One comment read, “Enjoying your job will always make you happy.” Another added, “I often go to Legian, no wonder the man is really friendly and hospitable. Whether he is with local or international tourists, he treats everyone the same. Stay healthy, sir.”

Meet Tibor, the man behind the song
The man in the video is Tibortius Hamni Wijaya, known as Tibor. He works as a parking attendant at the entrance to Padma Beach in Legian. His approach to the job has remained consistent over the years. Singing, for him, is not new.
According to NusaBali, Tibor explained the reason behind his habit. “Given the current Covid situation, I created this to entertain people,” he said on 11 January 2022.
For Tibor, music has always been part of daily life. He said singing is his calling and something he has enjoyed since childhood. While still in school, he took part in singing competitions in his hometown in West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, and won one of them.
After finishing high school, he moved to Bali in 1994. He began working as an office boy at NusaBali, where he spent six years. Later, he changed roles and became a parking attendant in the Legian area. He has continued in that role ever since.
