A unique moment occurred when President Prabowo Subianto met British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Downing Street, London, England, on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Not only PM Keir but also Prabowo met the famous cat kept in the British PM’s office, Larry the Cat. President Prabowo uploaded this moment to his Instagram account, @prabowo.

The first photo shows Prabowo stroking the grey and white cat’s head. Larry the cat is also seen looking down while being petted by Prabowo. The second photo shows Prabowo stroking Larry’s belly. In the uploaded photo, Larry looks lazy while staring out the window.

Prabowo is known as a cat lover and even brought his cat, Bobby Kertanegara, to live at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.

Larry’s journey in the British prime minister’s office began in 2011 when he was adopted from Battersea Cats and Dogs Home.

He was initially a pet for David Cameron’s (then British prime minister) children. However, over time, this grey-and-white striped cat became synonymous with Number 10.
