The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that moderate to heavy rain will fall on Bandung and its surroundings for the next week.

Based on BMKG data, Bandung City and surrounding areas are predicted to experience rain on Thursday, November 7, 2024. Meanwhile, Friday, November 8, 2024, is predicted to only occur in the West Bandung area.

Flash flood in Sukabumi, West Java

Still, heavy rains in the West Java region flushed the Sukabumi region, flooding dozens of houses. The overflowing of rivers in seven sub-districts caused the water to inundate houses up to two meters high.

Flash floods occurred almost evenly in seven Sukabumi City, West Java sub-districts. At least 34 houses were flooded.

Overflows from several rivers in Sukabumi City also inundated dozens of houses, motorcycles, and cars with a height of 2 meters. As a result of this heavy rain, BPBD recorded 66 flood and landslide disaster points in Sukabumi City.
