A Viral Heartbreaking Video of 4 Abandoned Dogs in Trash Sack Outside The BAWA Bali Dog Shelter

Share:

@bawabali_official posted a heart-wrenching video showing CCTV footage of someone discarding a sack containing four abandoned dogs. Three were puppies near the BAWA Bali shelter area on 31st December 2023. The shelter staff promptly rescued the dogs, offering them water and a comfortable space.

This incident unfolded in February 2023, and after a year had elapsed, BAWA Bali diligently cared for the trio of abandoned dogs. They were individually named Hati (White), Shiro (Black), and Nero (Black).

Mama Valentine, at the BAWA Bali dog shelter, diligently cared for her puppies as a nurturing mother. Presently, all four abandoned dogs have been adopted by caring individuals prepared to offer them wholehearted care.

The dilemma of abandoned dogs in Bali has persisted for a considerable duration. Bali holds a reputation as one of Indonesia’s cities with the highest canine population, with numerous dogs lacking owners and left abandoned.

Consequently, numerous volunteers dedicate their time to caring for these abandoned dogs until suitable owners are found. Among the animal welfare groups in Bali, BAWA (Bali Animal Welfare Association), established in 2007 by Janice Girardi, stands out. This organization is steadfast in aiding thousands of deserted dogs.

At BAWA Bali, one can contribute donations or consider adopting diverse dog breeds, including abandoned puppies, under their care. Additionally, they offer an emergency hotline for reporting abandoned dogs facing unfortunate circumstances on the streets, reachable at any time.

BAWA Bali also offers various services, including sterilization, administering rabies vaccinations, eliminating rabid dogs, implementing disaster response initiatives, and conducting educational programs.
