Ngurah Rai Immigration Receives Backlash for Allegedly Releasing a Croatian Who Runs Illegal Businesses in Bali

Ngurah Rai Immigration Office has allegedly released Croatian national Petar BR or Deda. Deda is known to have run several illegal businesses, including hotel rooms & villas renting, as well as villa renovations, in the Canggu area, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

However, when examined, the Croatian  argued that he was only helping his wife to promote her properties.

Meanwhile, in several video clips, the Croatian national has promoted the villa rental business, and several payment receipts show strong evidence that Deda is running an illegal trade in Bali.

During his stay in Bali, Deda had a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS). Deda has an Indonesian wife; they lived in a villa in the Batu Bolong area, North Kuta. Ngurah Rai Immigration summoned Deda, examined him, and re-released him.

Although the immigration authorities have collected some evidence, Deda admitted to Immigration investigators that his actions were at his wife’s request, who was busy with other matters.

When confirmed, the Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Communication Section, Putu Suhendra, said that Deda was sent home because he allegedly gave false information to immigration officers, which is why further action can’t be taken at the given moment before a further investigation.

Putu Suhendra admitted that Ngurah Rai Immigration did not want to speculate further. Suhendra argued that has yet to receive any information regarding the results of the examination of the Croatian national in question.

Suhendra admitted that the examination of Deda was under Bali immigration regulations. “Initial summons and inspections based on information and complaints from the public have been made.”

However the latest update indicates that the Croatian national did not get any major punishment or even get detained by the police, Deda ended up being deported from Bali and prohibited to visit the island of Gods for some time, but that is about it. No further investigation or major action has been taken against Deda.
