Visa on Arrival Indonesia Done Without Intermediaries

11th October 2022 – With the reports of citizens of India and several other countries can use fast track features from third parties to apply for Visa on Arrival (VoA) to Indonesia, the Directorate General of Immigration reconfirmed that eVisa services are only given to website-based applications that have not collaborated with third parties.

The Sub-Coordinator of Public Relations of the Directorate General of Immigration, Achmad Nur Saleh, stated that Visa on Arrival (VoA) is currently applied directly upon arrival in Indonesia. Payment made at the bank counter available in the arrival area and a sticker stamped by the Immigration Checkpoint officers.

Meanwhile, foreigners who wish to travel, conduct business meetings, or do other activities, can apply for a visa online through a website-based application, visa-online.imigrasi.go.id.

Before making an application, a sponsor in Indonesia is required to register a sponsorship account on the website.

Currently, Immigration is taking steps to improve VoA facilities. Nur Saleh hopes that the procedures for data entry, payment, and VoA issuance can be carried out digitally before foreigners arrive in Indonesia.

However, the implementation of the new VoA procedure requires careful preparation in collaboration with relevant agencies. This is due to some adjustments that must be made to the payment of Non-Tax State Revenue by the Visa on Arrival applicants.

He emphasizes that Immigration is not cooperating with other parties for the issuance of Visa on Arrival or eVisa. Any form of collaboration or news will be informed through the official website and social media of the Directorate General of Immigration.

As of now, the Directorate General of Immigration has added 11 more countries for Indonesia Visa on Arrival. Currently, there are a total of 86 countries that can enter Indonesia using a Visa on Arrival (VoA). Applicants must submit Visa on Arrival upon arrival to Indonesian territory with requirements such as an active passport minimum of six months, departure tickets, proof of payment of VoA and a certificate of Covid-19 vaccination.
