Indonesia immediately won two gold medals on the 14th day of the 2024 Olympics, Thursday, August 8, 2024. After Veddriq won gold in the speed climbing number, Rizki ensured the second gold medal after winning the 73-kilogram men’s weightlifting number.

Indonesia’s triumph in securing two gold medals at the 2024 Olympics is a rare feat, marking the first time in 32 years that the nation has achieved such a significant victory. The last time Indonesia won more than one gold medal at the Olympics was in Barcelona in 1992.
