Kristian Hansen has been touring around Indonesia for the past few years. On every trip, he always has a warm story to tell about the people of Indonesia.

Recently, during his motorbike adventure around Indonesia, he had an exciting moment while traveling on Buton Island, Southeast Sulawesi. Through his posts on Instagram, Hansen recounted his journey to Buton Island from Kendari.

When he arrived in Buton, it was raining heavily because it was still the rainy season.

When driving, there was hardly anyone on the road, and the rain was very heavy. Kristian had to pull over because it was too dangerous to continue. He had not eaten and was starving.

When he took shelter, he felt the kindness of a family who invited him to their house for shelter.

“Why I love solo travel in Indonesia 🇮🇩 On my way to Buton Island, a kind Indonesian family helped out a stranger in need. Thank you,” he wrote on Instagram.

Kristian is very happy with the nature of the Indonesian people, who are very friendly and happy to share.

They don’t even accept money in return and help for free.

The comments on his account also said that this is the identity of the Indonesian people.

“This is Indonesian hospitality. It’s in our blood. Our ancestors taught us compassion, humanity and to always help those in need. Proud to be Indonesian 🇲🇨 enjoy your trip,” wrote one Indonesian netizen.

Kristian is still continuing his journey around Indonesia while sharing the natural beauty of the archipelago on his YouTube channel and personal Instagram page.
