If you love coffee and live in Jakarta, your week is about to get a whole lot better. MILKLAB, which happens to be Australia’s absolute favourite plant-based barista milk brand, is celebrating a massive milestone.

They’ve teamed up with some of the coolest independent cafés across the city to launch the “Sip, Explore, and Win” Café Hopping Program. Basically, it’s a treasure hunt for foodies, where you’re hunting down top-tier caffeine creations and collecting stamps for exclusive merchandise.

So, what’s actually on the menu? The participating baristas have gone all out, creating limited-edition signature drinks designed to showcase the best of alternative milks.

Oat Manuka Lattes, Almond Café Lattes, and a rich Coconut Chocolate. Every time you order one of these exclusive drinks, or simply choose to upgrade your standard coffee to MILKLAB Almond or Oat milk, you earn a stamp. Collect enough of them, and you’ll unlock some milestone rewards.

But it’s not just about the stamps. MILKLAB is also planning to bring a bit of Melbourne’s iconic daytime party culture straight to the streets of Jakarta. You can look forward to lively community events that blend specialty coffee, great music, and good conversation.

Nellie Lim, MILKLAB’s Regional Marketing Manager, explains the inspiration behind the festive push. “Coffee culture in Indonesia is evolving in such an exciting way, especially in Jakarta, where independent cafés play a massive role in shaping trends and creating fresh experiences for customers,” she says.

Mikael Jasin, the 2024 World Barista Champion and MILKLAB Asia Brand Ambassador, has noticed a massive shift in how people view dairy-free options.

“Coffee drinkers today are far more open to trying new experiences and are much more intentional with their choices,” he says. “Dairy alternative milk isn’t just a backup option anymore; it has become an essential part of modern coffee culture.”
