Mariah Carey, the internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter, is set to return to Indonesia with a concert titled Mariah Carey – The Celebration of Mimi.

The event will take place on Saturday, 4 October 2025, at 20:00 WIB at the Sentul International Convention Centre (SICC), Bogor, West Java.

The performance marks Carey’s return to Indonesia after nearly seven years. Her last appearance in the country was at the Borobudur Symphony 2018, held at the historic Borobudur Temple.

Her upcoming concert is expected to serve as a tribute to her enduring music career, which spans over three decades and includes over 200 million records sold worldwide.

David Ananda, Managing Director of Color Asia Live, expressed his enthusiasm about bringing the pop icon back to Indonesia.

“After a hard struggle for the past three years, we finally managed to convince Mariah Carey to perform in Indonesia again. Mariah Carey is very enthusiastic about performing in front of her fans, The Lambily in the country. She promises to give a super spectacular performance for all those who attend her concert later at SICC,” he stated in a written announcement for the media.

Official ticket sales will begin on Thursday, 19 June 2025, at 11:59 WIB via Tiket.com and www.MariahCareyIndonesia.com.

Carey is scheduled to perform a range of her most well-known songs, including Type Dangerous, Hero, My All, Always Be My Baby, Obsessed, I Still Believe, Without You, Love Takes Time, Fantasy, and We Belong Together.

Carey first visited Indonesia in 2004 during her Charmbracelet World Tour, performing at the Jakarta Convention Centre.

New Single ‘Type Dangerous’ Marks Mariah Carey’s Comeback

Ahead of her return to Indonesia, Mariah Carey has also released a new single titled Type Dangerous. The track opens her forthcoming 16th studio album and represents her first new release in seven years.

Produced in collaboration with N.W.I. and Daniel Moore, the song blends her signature vocal style with a sample from Eric B. & Rakim’s Eric B Is President.

Type Dangerous has been described as a potential summer anthem and a fresh chapter in the career of the artist renowned for her five-octave vocal range. A music video directed by Joseph Kahn, who previously worked on Carey’s #Beautiful and All I Want for Christmas Is You is currently in production.

The teaser has already generated strong anticipation on social media.

This new release precedes two major appearances: her reception of the BET Ultimate Icon Award on 9 June and a headline performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on 15 June.

With five Grammy Awards, 10 American Music Awards, 14 Billboard Music Awards, and a position in Rolling Stone‘s top five greatest singers of all time (2023), Mariah Carey continues to reaffirm her legacy in the global music industry.
