How to get there?

The most popular way to get to Nusa Lembongan island from Bali is to take a small public boat from mainland Bali, at Sanur. There are also fast boat transfers that depart mainly from Benoa port.

The public boats are usually packed with tourists and locals, but they are also the cheapest way to get to Nusa Lembongan. The fast boat transfers, on the other hand, offer a more comfortable and faster journey to Nusa Lembongan from Bali.

The boat starts early from Bali at 8 am and leaves from Nusa Lembongan at 4/5 pm, so it’s possible to a day trip in Nusa Lembongan.

Strolling the island

There are also many ways to get around as the island is relatively small and easy to explore, like renting a motorbike, taking a taxi, or hopping on a scooter with friends. Also, the island is within the walking distance, though does have some steep hills and can be quite hot. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and a hat to keep you cool.

The rent will cost you around IDR 80,000 per day, and the car around IDR 300,000 while the taxi will charge you by distance.

Dream Beach is located on the eastern side of Nusa Lembongan. There are a few ways to get there. You can either walk from Sunset Point or take a speed boat from Batu Bolong Beach. The walk takes about 20 minutes and passes through several small villages along the way.

Dream Beach become one of Nusa Lembongan’s must-visit with cliff views. Due to coral reefs and strong waves, the beach is not ideal for swimming, but it is a great place to relax.

To reach the beach you need to take short stairs, the stairs are a bit steep, so be careful when going down.

Mushroom Bay

Mushroom bay can get busy as many boats pick up and drop off passengers. It’s easy to find where to stay here since the near beach has lined with hotels, restaurants, and beach bars. there you can also find many travel agencies selling boat trips to other islands of Nusa.

It might not be a quiet beach, but the water is still vivid aqua-blue, especially at midday. If you want to avoid the crowds, you might want to go to the right side of the beach next to the cliffs. The beach feels more peaceful, and at low tide.

Sandy Bay

Sandy Bay, also known as Sunset Beach and is surrounded by cliffs, this scenic beach is a great place to watch the sunset located on the west coast of Nusa Lembongan.

Unfortunately, the combination of huge rocks and strong waves makes Sandy Bay less than ideal for swimming. But you still can enjoy the stunning sunset views from the Sandy Bay Beach Club in your beach shack while sipping a drink.

Jungutbatu Beach

If you are coming from Bali, you will most likely get off at Jungut Batu Beach. The sand is soft, but like most Nusa Lembongan beaches, but sometimes the waves can be rough.
