New on The Table: Italian Summer Feast at Osteria Gia You Don’t Want to Miss

When Jakarta’s heat calls for something indulgent yet refreshing, Osteria Gia answers with sunshine on a plate.

This August and September, the much-loved Italian restaurant at Plaza Indonesia is serving up something special: a limited-time seasonal menu titled “Italian Summer Feast”, and it’s every bit as dreamy as it sounds.

Tapping into the soul of an Italian summer, this new menu combines the bold warmth of Southern Italy with the freshness that defines summer cooking.

Think of sharing rich flavours and textures that make every table feel like an authentic Italian gathering.

Sharing Fun and Seriously Good Flavours

The Italian Summer Feast is built to share. From appetisers to dessert, each dish is designed with a convivial, mangia insieme energy.

It opens with the Whipped Ricotta Peperoncino with a creamy, subtly spiced ricotta spread that’s light enough for summer but bold enough to start a conversation.

Pair it with the addictive Patatine Fritte (which frankly deserves its own fan club), and you’ve got an appetiser hour worth lingering over!

The main highlights offer three options you can experience individually or, for a richer experience, combine them altogether. Earthy, meaty, and savoury flavours ideal for a wholesome experience.

The Nduja Carbonara serves a rich reinterpretation of the Roman classic with smoky, spicy notes from the nduja that wrap your palate in warmth without overpowering the summer mood. It’s fiery, creamy, and addictive.

Not to be outdone, the Grande Lobster Aglio e Olio brings the breezy decadence of the Italian coastline to Jakarta’s urban sprawl. Garlic, chilli, olive oil, and tender lobster meat: served generously, meant for fork-duelling among friends.

Social Expat’s Picks: Sirloin Bistecca

The Sirloin Bistecca is charred just enough to flirt with flame, tender enough to whisper luxury. It’s an ode to simplicity and technique.

Social Expat recommends this one, and frankly, we see why.

End the feast (and maybe cancel the rest of your day) with the Seasalt Caramel Biscoff Tiramisu.

Kindly note that this is not your classical nonna’s tiramisu. Layers of cream and caramel meet the Biscoff crunch, tied together by just a flicker of sea salt. The piece of art-kind of dessert that lingers in your mind for weeks.

Don’t Miss It: Summer Italian Feast Only on Aug – Sep 2025

The Italian Summer Feast menu is available for just the remaining two months of Summer: August and September 2025.

It’s a fleeting season worthy of ending your summer with. But here’s a tip for savvy diners: You can get 15% off the feast with Ismaya+ Exclusive Deals, making that second tiramisu justifiable (if not essential).

So, what are you waiting for? Plan a long-overdue catch-up with friends, an easygoing business lunch, or simply craving an edible vacation from Jakarta’s traffic, Osteria Gia’s summer menu is the closest thing you’ll get to a Classic Italian holiday without boarding a plane.
