American rock band My Chemical Romance has confirmed that it will not perform at Hammersonic Festival 2026, scheduled for 2–3 May 2026.

The band was originally listed to appear on the second day of the festival. The announcement was confirmed by Ravel Entertainment, the promoter of Hammersonic 2026, through an official statement published on its social media platforms on Saturday, 20 December 2025.

“We apologise to all Hammersonic Festival ticket holders for the change in My Chemical Romance’s performance schedule. MCR will not be able to perform at Hammersonic Festival as scheduled,” Ravel Entertainment wrote.

The promoter acknowledged the disappointment felt by fans and confirmed that the festival would continue as planned despite the change in the lineup.

Hammersonic Festival is scheduled to proceed on 2–3 May 2026, with other performers set to appear as previously announced.

Ravel Entertainment did not provide further details regarding changes to the festival’s artist lineup following MCR’s withdrawal.

Solo Jakarta Concert Confirmed, Ticket Sales Open December

Following the cancellation, Ravel Entertainment confirmed that My Chemical Romance will instead hold a solo concert in Jakarta in 2026.

The concert is titled “My Chemical Romance Live in Jakarta” and will take place on 22 November 2026 at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

“MCR will return to Jakarta for their solo concert, ‘My Chemical Romance Live in Jakarta,’ which will take place on November 22, 2026, at the Jakarta International Stadium [JIS],” Ravel Entertainment wrote in its official statement shared via the @hammersonicfest Instagram account.

In response to the schedule change, Ravel Entertainment announced a ticket refund and transfer scheme for Hammersonic ticket holders.

“As a form of responsibility to fans, all Hammersonic ticket holders for the second day will receive a refund or be transferred to the new MCR concert date in the Festival category,” the promoter stated.

“Hammersonic ticket holders for the first day and two-day passes will receive a refund due to the adjustment in Hammersonic Festival ticket prices,” the statement continued.
