A viral video of foreign tourists performing erotic and obscene rituals in Ubud, Gianyar, Bali, has shocked the internet.

Based on a combined video clip uploaded by the @pichrich_ account and reposted by social activist and politician from Bali, Ni Luh Djelantik, through her personal Instagram account (@niluhdjelantik), the foreigners, whose origin is unknown, appear to be compactly performing a series of obscene rituals allegedly located in a villa in Ubud.

In the first video snippet, a foreign man is seen laughing while surrounded and hugged by women in sexy clothes. The women are seen performing erotic movements while groping the man’s body.

The video went viral and was immediately investigated by Ni Luh Djelantik, a member of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD RI).

“ARREST AND EXPEL TRASHY FOREIGNERS”!!!! Jeg ngae leteh gumi Bali nani cing. @pichrich_ You have disrespected our island, culture, and tradition. We don’t need trashy foreigners like you!!!!” Ni Luh wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno admitted that currently, there is no latest information regarding the results of the investigation into the viral obscene sect video. According to him, the location of the ritual is still unknown.

“There is no update on the perverted sect video, but we have reviewed that since there is OSS (Online Single Submission), this licensing is indeed very fast for business activities,” Sandi said at the ‘Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno’ media meeting in Jakarta, Monday, May 13, 2024.

Sandiaga emphasized that the investigation into this indecent case will continue. He also asked the public to participate in ensuring and maintaining the quality of tourism in Bali.

“Taksu Bali, Balinese customs, we continue to ensure that they are the guidelines for tourism activities,” said Sandi.

The investigation has been conducted on one foreigner from Canada

Bali Police are now investigating a video of a group of foreign tourists allegedly doing yoga activities that smelled of erotic elements among foreigners in the Ubud area, Gianyar Regency.

The Immigration Class 1 Denpasar also summoned the activity organizer, a foreign national from Canada. A snippet of the video shows a group of foreign tourists doing yoga activities by hugging each other and appearing to do erotic scenes.

The viral video made Bali Police and Immigration intervene to investigate the truth and facts related to the allegations that the foreigners were a deviant sect of foreigners conducted at a location in the Ubud area.

The foreigners identified in the video left Indonesia on April 22. However, Bali Police and Immigration are still investigating, questioning several witnesses, including the foreigner’s sponsor or guarantor.
