Google Indonesia has once again released their annual report on what’s trending and catching the attention of Indonesians during 2024.

Through the “Year in Search 2024” and “A Year on YouTube” reports, the search engine giant provides an interesting overview of what interests the public.

According to Google Indonesia, search trends for movies, television shows, and music this year show that Indonesia’s entertainment scene is characterised by enthusiasm for local works.

To illustrate, seven of the top 10 searches in the Song Lyrics and Movie/Serial categories on Google Search feature Indonesian songs and titles.
