14th October 2022 – Holywings Group has opened the Golden Tiger entertainment venue in Kemang, South Jakarta. The club is located where the Holywings Tavern Kemang once was, which was closed after promotional content controversy.

From the official Instagram account of the new club, @goldentiger.club, their slogan and tagline are the same as Holywings which is #NeverStopFlying.

Golden Tiger Club is described as the place for young people’s dreams. It’s a modern nightclub that introduces a new look to the entertainment industry of Indonesia. It has the open format genre which provides a variety of entertainment and facilities to facilitate visitors’ needs for ongoing music trends and entertainment.

Currently, Golden Tiger Club has five outlets spread mainly in the Jakarta area with two located in Semarang and Medan. Their outlet in Kemang is their third outlet in Jakarta with two other outlets located in BSD, Tangerang, and Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), Jakarta.

Holywings Co-Founder Ivan Tanjaya has confirmed the opening of the new club however, he denied that Holywings Kemang simply changed its name to Golden Tiger stating that the new club is a new project.

Last July, Holywings Group is in a hot water after a controversial free alcoholic drink promotion every Thursday for people named Muhammad and Maria.

The public considers the two names for alcoholic drink promotion to insult the symbols of Islam and Christianity which is a violation of the law. As a result, all Holywings outlets in Indonesia are closed by the local governments.

After further investigation, Holywings Group has violated the law as it does not have the license to sell alcoholic beverages.

Months after the case, famous lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea, one of the stakeholders of Holywings Group, announced the reopening of Holywings Beach Fest in Bali but was renamed Atlas Beach Fest.

Holywings Palembang has renamed itself to Gold Dragon Bar in order to continue operating. Additionally, they have stopped cooperating with PT Palembang Sayap Berjaya.

Holywings Makassar, Sulawesi also officially changed its name to Pentagon and Helens after the free alcohol for people with the names Muhammad and Maria controversy.
