A group of foreign nationals has come under scrutiny after performing a risky stunt at a beach in South Kuta, Bali. One individual jumped off a cliff while tied to a motorcycle, an act that quickly drew public attention.

The person involved was not injured. However, the motorcycle sustained visible damage after the jump.

Witnesses said the stunt appeared unplanned and lacked clear safety measures. The location, known for its scenic coastline, is not designated for extreme activities. Authorities have yet to confirm whether further action will be taken.

Previous incident at Sekumpul Waterfall

This is not the first time foreign tourists have caused concern in Bali. In August last year, a separate incident took place at Sekumpul Waterfall in Buleleng.

An unidentified foreign national performed a tightrope walk across a high cliff near the waterfall. The act, carried out without official supervision, was recorded by a bystander and later circulated widely on social media.

The video showed the individual balancing on a rope stretched across the cliff, with the waterfall in the background. During the attempt, he lost his footing and slipped.

He survived the fall as he was secured with safety equipment.

Authorities respond to safety risks

The Head of the Buleleng Tourism Office, Gede Dody Sukma Oktiva Askara, confirmed the incident and said officials had taken immediate steps.

He added that his office worked with the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) and Immigration to investigate the site. Officers conducted a direct inspection at the waterfall on Wednesday, 6 August 2025.
