Acting Head of Public Relations at Badung Police, Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti, said the victim was attacked at around 10:50 pm WITA. He was allegedly stabbed by two unidentified perpetrators.

“The perpetrators are still under investigation,” Ayu told Kompas.com on Tuesday, 24 March 2026.

Police confirmed that the victim sustained multiple injuries from a sharp weapon. He was taken towards a hospital following the attack but was pronounced dead on the way at approximately 11:59 pm WITA.

Witness Testimonies and Sequence of Events

Investigators are focusing on statements from three key witnesses who were present at the scene. According to police, the incident began when the victim and his partner, identified as PI, 30, were leaving the villa.

They noticed two individuals riding a motorcycle passing in front of the property. Ayu described the appearance of the suspects based on witness accounts.

“The motorcyclist sitting in the front seat was wearing a black Grab jacket, a black helmet, and a blue mask. The passenger was wearing an orange T-shirt and no helmet,” she said.

The motorcycle later turned around and approached the couple. The victim then instructed his partner to go inside the villa and lock the door.

Before reaching safety, the partner witnessed the victim being attacked with a knife by the two perpetrators. He then fled and hid in a dark area nearby. One of the attackers attempted to locate him but was unsuccessful.

Police said the assailant returned to the front of the villa and continued the attack on the victim, who was already defenceless. The perpetrators left the scene shortly afterwards.
