Porn Star Bonnie Blue Detained in Bali Over Pornography Investigation and Illegal ‘Bangbus’ Use

Bonnie Blue, British Adult Film Star, Arrested in Bali for Alleged Pornography

Porn star Bonnie Blue has been detained by police in Bali following a series of allegations ranging from pornography-related activities to vehicle registration violations and the misuse of a tourist visa.

The arrest intensified scrutiny on a broader network believed to be producing adult content on the island.

Blue, whose real name is Tia Billinger, was questioned by police in the Kuta area on Friday, 5 December 2025, according to a report from news.com.au.

Local authorities confirmed that several foreign nationals were also being questioned over allegations of working as content creators and engaging in activities that may breach Indonesia’s strict pornography laws.

The detention followed a wave of public criticism after Blue addressed Australian school leavers holidaying in Bali.

In a social media post, she stated, “Hey kids, those about to start school, and those who are almost legal, can’t wait to meet you,” adding, “I’m in Bali, so you know exactly what that means.”

The remarks triggered concern among residents and prompted closer monitoring of his activities.

Vehicle Registration Breaches and Visa Misuse

Public attention escalated further after footage circulated showing Blue driving a modified blue pickup truck labelled “Bangbus” with several young men seated in the back.

Local authorities said the activity appeared to breach social norms and could signal the production of inappropriate content.

Police later confirmed that the vehicle, described as the “Bonnie Blue Bangbus,” did not meet Indonesian road regulations.

Government documents revealed the utility vehicle had originally been registered as white but had been repainted dark blue without an official change recorded in the Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK). Officials also stated that the vehicle’s tax had expired in 2023.

A colour mismatch between a vehicle and its registration certificate constitutes a traffic violation under Indonesian law and carries penalties of up to IDR 500,000 or two months’ imprisonment.

Police reiterated that foreigners who commit repeated or serious administrative violations risk deportation. To operate the vehicle legally, owners must re-register the vehicle at a Samsat office, complete a physical inspection, and provide a certificate from a registered paint shop.

Evidence of an Organised Pornography Network in Bali

Blue’s arrest prompted renewed debate over whether Bali has become a hub for the global pornography industry.

The discussion followed a separate incident last week, when police arrested the 27-year-old British performer along with 17 other individuals at a villa in Pererenan, Canggu.

Tourism observers say the arrest is part of a much wider and longstanding issue. Giostanovlatto, founder of the local platform Hey Bali, said the case reflects an organised operation that has been active on the island for years.

“The Bonnie Blue case only confirms what we have been monitoring for a long time. This is not an isolated incident; it’s a network,” he said on Sunday, 7 December, as quoted by MediaIndonesia.

He added that evidence of professional production had emerged earlier this year. “This isn’t the result of a tourist’s prank. The footage is clearly a professional production,” he said.

Giostanovlatto was referring to a memory card anonymously sent to Hey Bali months before the recent arrests. The card reportedly contained raw footage of a pornographic video filmed in a luxury villa, involving foreign models and a professional crew.

The equipment shown appeared typical of commercial production teams, suggesting a structured operation rather than amateur activity.

Tourism analysts say the case exposes regulatory blind spots in private villa operations and digital content production. Authorities are expected to increase inspections in tourist areas, particularly in Canggu and surrounding districts.

Bali Police have stated that investigations are ongoing and that further legal measures may follow depending on evidence gathered from electronic devices, vehicle records, and statements from detainees.
