Bali E-Sports World Championship Will Set A Guinness Record

The 2022 IESF E-Sports World Championship Bali will be held on the 2nd-11th of December 2022. Aims to set a Guinness Record for the most players and participants from countries all over the world.  The Guinness record commission will be present in Bali and monitor us, so we have to make it the most impressive.” said the executive management assistant of the International E-Sport Federation IESF, Ilija Kurteski.

Kurteski added the federation has conducted a year-round regional competition to determine the world championship qualifications for all continents. IESF alongside the local Indonesian committee has contacted the best teams, and players from participating countries to come and compete.

Kurteski also mentioned there will be more than 106 countries present in Bali, with 700 players, and the estimated total of everyone who will participate in the event will exceed 1,100 people. Each country can send 11 persons as their delegations.

The World E-Sports Championship will compete against six types of games, such as Tekken 7, DOTA 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, eFootball 2022, and Counterstrike: Global Offensive. Specifically for Counterstrike: Global Offensive, there will be a special category for both males and females to compete.

Indonesia’s E-sports Team

Indonesia’s Major E-Sports Committee (PB ESI) targets the Indonesian national team to become the overall champion at the 14th world e-sports championships in Bali in 2022. 

Deputy chairman for athletes and achievements (PB ESI), Yohannes Siagian, believes Indonesia’s team has the potential to become the dominant country in the world of e-sports, in a virtual press conference in Jakarta, on Monday.

He also added there will be no certain strategies for this tournament. 

“We believe in our athletes, especially for Mobile legends, PUBGM, they are indeed the best athletes in that branch.” said Yohannes Siagian.

Indonesia will send their full team to this World E-sports Championship, as they are already good in chemistry and communication in a team.

Bali is Ready for the E-Sports World Championship

Head coach and referee (PB ESI), Christian Suryadi, said this match has entered a percentage of around 80 percent. There will be four stages and 500 games that will take place simultaneously. 

Everyone outside Bali can also watch the tournament that will be broadcasted live on PBESI’s YouTube channel, Garudaku’s YouTube channel, and the international e-sports federation’s Twitch platform IESF.

The 14th World E-sport Championship will be held in Merusaka, Nusa Dua, Bali. Also, coincides with the Indonesia E-sport Summit which will be a stage for the creative economy. There will be the biggest outdoor e-sports festival with more than 80 booths. In addition, conferences and talk shows from national and international.
