Bali Is Ready To Welcome Tourists During The Lunar New Year

Bali is ready to welcome domestic and foreign tourists foreigners who come for vacation during the 2023 Chinese New Year holidays. 

“We are ready to welcome tourists to enjoy the Lunar New Year holidays in The Nusa Dua area with prepare the various facilities that we have,” said The Nusa Dua General Manager I Gusti Ngurah Ardita.

Several facilities have been prepared for tourists in The Nusa Dua area, including a golf course, jogging track, cycling, and yoga activities that tourists can do while in The Nusa Dua Bali area. “Tourists who come can also visit the natural tourist destinations Water Blow Peninsula Nusa Dua in the area we manage,” he said.

In addition, Gusti Ngurah Ardita explained that several tenants and tourist accommodations in the area are managed by BUMN PT Indonesia Tourism Development (Persero), or the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has also prepared various attractive offers for tourists.

The offer is given to tourists who stay or do activities in the area that will remain in the Nusa Dua area, including staycation programs, culinary, children’s activities, and shopping tours.

These offers include staying promos at special prices and Chinese New Year dinners with special fees at a number of hotels in the tourism area.

“With the various attractive promos and complete facilities that we provide in The Nusa Dua area, we hope tourists will enjoy a holiday safely and comfortably. This year’s Chinese New Year is influenced by the water rabbit element. It is hoped that this will have a positive impact, luck, and success for the whole community,” said Gusti Ngurah Ardi. 

1200 Lanterns Have Been Installed At Denpasar

One thousand two hundred lanterns have been installed along Jalan Gajah Mada, Denpasar, Bali. The lanterns were installed in the context of the lively Lunar New Year Festival, which the Balinese Chinese community will hold from 28 to January 29th, 2023.

This was conveyed by the Chairperson of the 2023 Joint Chinese New Year Festival Committee, Dr. Paulus Herry Arianto, at a press conference in the Main Praja Room, Denpasar City Office.

“We have 1,200 lanterns installed to welcome the 2023 Joint Chinese New Year Festival,” said Paulus, Chairman of the committee.

Meanwhile, according to the Chairman of the Trustees of the Chinese Indonesian Association (INTI), Father Sudiarta Indrajaya, who was also present at the press conference, said that the lanterns were installed for a reason.

It was explained that the lanterns for Chinese people have a meaning as a light, and everyone wants their life to be better every Chinese New Year.

Celebrating at Dharmayana Kuta Temple

Bali is preparing to celebrate its first Lunar New Year without restrictions since 2019. As China reopened its borders for overseas travel on January 8th, the Island of the Gods prepares to welcome tourists from China for the most important lunar calendar festival.

Dharmayana Kuta Temple, also known as Lengwang Bio Temple, is widely recognized as one of Bali’s oldest Mahayana Buddhist sites.

Adi Dharmaja, head of the Dharmayana Kuta Temple, said the temple would host 2,000 to 3,000 worshipers during the celebration. “Therefore, we also expect those who pray with perfect solemnity, peace, and understanding to receive the desired blessings of glory and grace.” 

Dharmaja said, “Prayer means neutralizing negativity, and at this time, the Dharmayana Kuta Temple is open from 00:00 to 24:00 WITA to welcome people’speople’s arrival”. Ceremonies will also occur on Sunday, January 29th, and Sunday, February 5th, as a part of thanksgiving ceremonies and the temple’stemple’s anniversary.
