American rock band Avenged Sevenfold has confirmed plans to perform in Jakarta as part of its upcoming Asia tour. The concert, promoted by Ravel Entertainment, is scheduled to take place at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on 10 October 2026.

The announcement follows growing anticipation among Indonesian fans regarding the band’s return. Ravel Entertainment CEO Ravel Junardy stated that Indonesia remains a key market for the band due to its large fanbase.

“It’s very simple, their fanbase is number one in Indonesia. That’s the biggest reason Avenged wants to return to Indonesia, because Avenged’s number one fanbase is in Indonesia,” said Ravel Junardy at Gandaria City, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (31 March 2026), as quoted by Liputan6.

Decision to Stage Standalone Stadium Concert

Initially, the band was considered for inclusion in the Hammersonic festival lineup. However, the promoter later decided that a standalone concert would be more appropriate given the band’s scale and audience demand.

“Initially, we wanted to go to Hammersonic, but then I thought, ‘You’re no longer suited to Hammersonic. You’re more suited to having your own stadium show,” Ravel said.

Jakarta International Stadium was selected as the venue due to its capacity and facilities. According to the promoter, the stadium is currently one of the most suitable venues in Indonesia for international-scale concerts.

“Actually, we chose JIS because we already know it’s the most suitable venue; it’s the most suitable stadium in Indonesia,” he added.

The upcoming concert follows the band’s previous performance at Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium in 2024. The organiser indicated that production standards will be adjusted to meet the scale of the new venue.

Ravel Entertainment has also released the official ticket pricing for the concert. Prices range from Rp665,000 to Rp2,550,000, excluding taxes and additional fees.
