A Video Shows a Tourist Amazed by Bali’s Talented Roof-Climbing Dogs

Share:

Dogs in Bali always have a story to tell. As one of the provinces with a large number of stray dogs, these animals usually roam the streets.

But the upload of the TikTok account @kyleandcassie shows the unique behaviour of dogs in Bali. The video started out ordinary, only showing the view of houses and roads in Bali.

“Just another day in Bali” was the title of the video.

Soon, the camera zooms in on a group of Balinese dogs on the roof of a house. It’s unclear how they got there, but the dogs strike a gallant pose as if they are patrolling the area.

“That was a natural CCTV and security,” said a netizen named Rai Bayu.

“The best thing is that nothing surprises me in Bali anymore,” said another netizen named Kathrine.

Previously, a viral video showing a dog in Bali watching over tourists and local areas was also filled with comments. These two videos seem to add to the opinion that dogs in Bali do have a guarding nature.

If you visit Bali, you’re bound to see Kintamani dogs roaming around. Make no mistake; this dog only exists on the island of Bali and will not be found in other regions or countries.

The Kintamani dog, which is the mascot of Bangli Regency, is recognized as one of the world’s dog breeds from Bali that have existed since 3000 years ago, according to the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI), an organization engaged in the field of dog breeds or breeds globally.

As traditional guard dogs in the Kintamani area, they have strong guardian instincts. They can be good warners of the presence of strangers or potential threats.

This Balinese dogs are native to Bali, which has a tropical climate. They are well adapted to such conditions, and their not-so-long coat makes them comfortable in warm environments.

Despite their medium size, Kintamani dogs are known to be brave and resilient. They are usually active and ready to protect their environment.
