On Monday, 1st April 2024, at approximately 10 AM local time, a tragic incident occurred in Tangerang resulting in the death of a female shopkeeper. According to police reports, the victim, who was engaged in cleaning the shop floor, admonished a female visitor for wearing sandals.

In response, the visitor reacted with hostility, engaging in a verbal altercation with the victim. Moments later, the visitor retrieved a sharp weapon resembling a samurai sword from her car and proceeded to stab the victim once in the stomach area.

The perpetrator, in a state of panic, attempted to flee to her car but was prevented from leaving as residents surrounded her vehicle. A video uploaded by @fakta.jakarta depicted the perpetrator, a woman, resisting arrest by brandishing a sharp weapon at the residents.

Regrettably, the victim of the stabbing, identified as RA (43 years old), succumbed to her injuries at the scene and was subsequently transported to the hospital for further examination. Meanwhile, the perpetrator has surrendered herself to the Tangerang police after fleeing to the Jatiuwung area.

The stabbing of a shopkeeper in Tangerang has undoubtedly shaken many residents, given that it took place in a public area with heavy vehicular traffic and a densely populated locality. Before committing this heinous act, the perpetrator collided with several vehicles.

An eyewitness named Yani recounted that the perpetrator even hit a car while attempting to flee in the opposite direction. “Ultimately, the perpetrator was apprehended after crashing into a Pajero vehicle and then being cornered by residents who pursued her,” Yani stated.
